Historical Introduction

Historical Setants is one of the 12 villages mentioned in the list of the Maghanjugh district villages.

Location

It is located at the right bank of the Setants (right tributary to the Vorotan), which takes source on the northeastern slopes of the Kapan mount (2074 m).

Population
19 c․

The village was abandoned in the second half of the 19th century and then reinhabited by the Kurds from the Gharaghshlagh village, that distorted its historical name to Seitas.
