Location

The village is located 11 kilometres south-west of the district centre, between 1,420 and 1,480 metres of altitude above sea level.

Historical Introduction
18 c․

Stripped of its Armenian inhabitants in the 1770s, it served as a summer encampment for some tribes of Turkish cattle-breeders until the early 20th century, when they shifted to a sedentary life and founded a Turkish village in its site.
