Inscription, Armenian, Engraved, Commemoration 1517 y․

Inscriptions and crosses on the borders of the stele were deliberately erased. There remained only one line, which contained the date.
“IN YEAR 1517.”

However the inscription on that cross was copied in the sixties and read as follows:
“GOD HAVE MERCY UPON .. ,”

Samvel Karapetian, Armenian Cultural Monuments in the Region of Karabakh, Yerevan, 2001, p. 129. It is obvious, that it was erased during 1989-1992.
